Biography:
Janelle S. “Jane” Zimmerman, 71, of Hanover died Sun, Oct 4, at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of David E. Zimmerman of Hanover for 14 years. Born March 21, 1944 in Windsor, PA, she was the daughter of the late James E., Sr. & Helen (Reachard) Herman. Following a career in accounting and administrative work, Jane retired as the secretary in the Mount Saint Mary’s Athletic Department of Emmittsburg, MD.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter, Laurie Donahoue & husband Rick of York; her son, Timothy Flinchbaugh & wife, Cheryl of York; 4 stepchildren: Faye & Ed McAdams of Eldersburg, MD; David D. Zimmerman of Taneytown; Marvin & Dottie Zimmerman of Middletown, MD; Austin & Jane Zimmerman of Ocala, FL; 8 grandchildren: Jeff, Cindy, Matthew, Jessica, Kimberly, Katherine, Kelsey & Thomas and 9 great grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her brother, James E. Herman, Jr. She was a member of Bart’s Centenary United Methodist Church, Littlestown, Westminster Moose, both Littlestown Eagles and VFW and Taneytown American Legion.
Funeral Service is Friday at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Emilia Burdick officiating. Viewing is Friday 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at a later date in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Contributions in Jane’s name may be sent to Bart’s Centenary United Methodist Church, 56 E.
