Biography:

Emile J. Legacy, 82, of Littlestown died Monday, March 30, at Transitions, Gettysburg. He was the husband of Simone A. (Ducharme) Legacy of Littlestown for 54 years. Born August 25, 1932 in Canton NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Irene (Dumoulin) Legacy. Emile was a graduate of State University of New York. He was an engineer with AT&T, retiring in 1988 after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army.
 
In addition to his wife, Emile is survived by daughters, Denise Legacy Pion and husband Dr. Joseph Pion of Carlisle; Michelle M. Legacy and husband Abel Santiago Jr. of York and a son, Steven M. Legacy of Deale MD. 9 Grandchildren: Jessa Butler, Maliya Robison, Tia &Tyler Pion, Kadin & Riley Santiago, Emma, Ben & Grace Legacy;  4  Great-Grandchildren, J.J. & Finley Butler and Cooper & Leo Robison and 2  Sisters: Polly Warren of Liverpool, NY  and Clara Cloce of Canton NY. He was predeceased by a brother, Fred Legacy.
 
Emile was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown and was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved hiking and playing bridge. He was very active in the Littlestown Senior Center where he taught computer classes and delivered Meals –on- Wheels.
 
There will be a Memorial Mass Monday, April 6, at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown with The Rev. James M. Sterner Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery. Contributions have been asked to go to his church at 29 S. Queen St., Littlestown PA 17340 or to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
