Biography:

L. Robert “Bob” Spangler, 86, of Littlestown, died Sun, Feb 15, at his home. He was the widower of Geraldine L. “Deanie” (Snyder) Spangler who died Nov 23, 2007.  Born Dec 12, 1928 in Littlestown, Bob was the son of the late Lloyd J. & Catherine L. (Shryrock) Spangler.  He was a 1946 Littlestown High School graduate and was a retired machinist from Bowen McGlaughlin (now BAE Systems) in York in 1993 after 28 yrs of employment.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca L. Clapsaddle & husband, Roger, of Littlestown; two sons:  Dean R. Spangler of Hanover and Tori L. Spangler & wife, Sheila, of Littlestown; 2 grandchildren:  Kevin E. Dehoff and Kathy E. Ambrose; 3 great grandchildren:  Kirsten, Bradley & Kayley Ambrose; 4 step grandchildren and a sister, Eleanor L. Cashman of New Oxford.  Bob was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church of Silver Run; a life member of Fish & Game, FOE 2226 and Alpha Fire Co., all of Littlestown and a Hanover Mason member, Patmos Lodge 348 F & AM.
 
Funeral Service is Thurs, Feb 19, at 12 noon at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. H. Lee Brumback, II, officiating.  Viewing is Thurs 10:30 – 12 at the funeral home.  Interment is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s name may be made to his church @ 3978 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD  21158.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

I have just learn of Bob passing. Our deepest Sympathy to the family members. I had work with Bob during my time at BMY. He will certainly be miss.
