Biography:
Fred M. Crabbs, 90 of Gettysburg died Sat. July 26 at the Gettysburg Hospital. He was the husband of Mabel C. Harner Crabbs who died Oct. 17, 2005. Born July 8, 1924 in Silver Run, Md., he was the son of the late Milton and Emma Mayers Crabbs. Fred worked for Valley Quarries of Gettysburg and Mt. Cydonia Quarries and retired in 2006 after 59 years of service.
Fred is survived by a daughter, Mary J. McDannell of Gettysburg, sons Garry L. Crabbs and wife Nancy of Littlestown and Fred M. Crabbs II and wife Rev. Marcella of Gettysburg. Five grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Littlestown and he loved his job at the Quarry.
Funeral Service is Wed., July 30 at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home with his Pastor, The Rev. John Largen officiating. There will be a viewing on Tues. July 29 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Littlestown. Contributions have been asked to go to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 665 St. John’s Rd., Littlestown PA 17340.
