Biography:

 
Paul E. Norwood, 81, formerly of Damascus MD. and recently of Littlestown died Wed June 4 in Gettysburg. He was the husband of Laura Lea Waters Norwood of Littlestown for 41 years. Born October 7, 1932 in Hunting Hill, Rockville,  MD., he was the son of the late Herbert A. and Ida J. Howard Norwood. Paul was a plumber for John Hopkins/Applied Physics Lab in Laurel Md. for over 20 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters Dianne Boykin of Princess Anne, MD. and Theresa Marie Wetherson of Hanover. Sons, Keith A. Norwood of Ijamsville, MD and Kevin E. Norwood of Bumpass, Va. Eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Sisters, Margaret Kephart of Frederick, MD., Betty J. McCormick of Port Orange, Fla., and Curby Kleyps of Potomac, MD.  Paul was predeceased by a son, Daniel L. Belter and 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He was a member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Co, Frederick Moose and loved to dance and help people. There will be a Memorial Service June 11 at 1 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave. Littlestown, Pa with the Rev. Timothy Kielley officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions have been asked to go to Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Ste. 205, Harrisburg PA 17110-9638 or American Cancer Society, PO Box 3535, Gettysburg, PA 17325. I just heard of Paul's passing. I would like to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with Paul at APL for 17 years and he taught me a lot about the plumbing trade. He was truly a good man and always happy! He will truly be missed.

Just heard the news, so sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Paul here at APL. I will always remember Paul as the happiest plumber I ever new. I can still hear him whistle happy tunes all day. He always had a smile on and one to share.

Kevin and Keith, Your Dad, he was a character, no fooling around let's get to it kind of guy. Always giving me a hard time. He will be missed !

I did not know Paul, but he must have been a very special person for Laura to have loved him so dearly.
