Biography:
Paul M. Beachtel, 80, of Littlestown, died Mon., May 26, at the Gettysburg Hospital. He was the husband of Loretta (Duncan) Beachtel for 62 years. Born May 20, 1934 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Ralph M. & Esther (King) Beachtel. Paul was a 1952 Littlestown High School graduate. He was owner/operator of his own trucking business and drove tractor trailers for over 50 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: David M. Beachtel & wife, Ellen, and Ralph M. Beachtel and wife, Darlene, all of Littlestown; 4 grandchildren: Murray E., Cheyenne N., Anne M. & Dakota M. Beachtel and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Van Brakle. Paul was predeceased by a sister, June Beachtel. He enjoyed his family and friends in the trucking industry and NASCAR.
Funeral Service is Thursday at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with the Rev. Craig Arentz of Christ UCC, Littlestown, officiating. The Family will receive friends 10:30 – 11 A.M. Thurs at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Run. Pallbearers will be: Murray & Dakota Beachtel, Charles Brown, Glenn King, Sean Van Brakle, Mike Bentley, Eric Drolsum and Nelson Winters.
