Lawrence J "Larry" Staub

Biography:

Lawrence J. “Larry” Staub, 66, of Littlestown, died Sat., April 5, at Gettysburg Hospital. He was the husband of Wanda J. (Lightner) Staub for 38 years. Born Aug 15, 1947 in Hanover, Larry was the son of the late Joseph & Sylvia Staub.  He was a 1965 Delone Catholic High School graduate and served in the army reserves.  Larry worked for Zerfing’s Hardware in both Gettysburg and Littlestown and also worked with automotive fasteners from North Carolina.
 
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by 2 sons:  Lawrence J. Staub, II of Harrisburg; Steven Staub of Littlestown; a daughter, Kimberly Dunn of Camp Hill;  8 grandchildren; 4 brothers:  James & Thomas Staub, both of Hanover;  Anthony Staub of McSherrystown and David Staub of Littlestown; 3 sisters:  Jeanne Maysillas and Elizabeth Klunk, both of Hanover and Marie Staub of Danville, KY.  Larry was a member of Bethel Assembly of God and a life member of Alpha Fire Co., both of Littlestown.
 
Funeral Service is Friday at his church at 11 A.M. with The Rev. Garry Sheaffer officiating.  Viewing is Thurs at the church from 4 – 7 P.M.  Interment is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Larry’s name be sent to:  Alpha Fire Co., P.O. Box 475, Littlestown, PA  17340 or Bethel Assembly of God, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

So sorry Larry is gone from this world but his friendliness and kindness will not be forgotten. He made every day a bit brighter with his contagious smile which he never hesitated to share with all he came in contact with. I only knew Larry a short time but I will miss seeing him daily at work.

Wanda and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Take comfort that he is no longer in pain. Treasure all your memories you have of him in the days ahead and know that God is with you always.

Larry was a great guy and friend. He will be greatly missed. We will keep you and your family in our prayers and find comfort in the fact you know he isn't in pain any longer and that you will see him again one day.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Larry was a great man. He taught me a lot when we ran the ambulance crew. He will surely be missed by his family and brother fireman.
