Biography:

Jesse James Ellison, 80, of Taneytown passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Feb. 13’th. he was the husband of Luella J. Ellison who died Nov. 11, 2005. Born May 14, 1933 in Elizabethton, Tn., he was the son of the late James D. and Stella R. Roberts Ellison. Jesse was a high school graduate , served in the U.S. Army and retired from 3M of Westminster in 1991 after 37 years.
 
Surviving is a son Christopher Ellison and wife Patty of Taneytown, daughters Rebecca Hodge of Johnson City, Tn., Sharon Heiner and husband Dale of Spring Grove and Deborah Miller and husband Jeffrey of Taneytown. Grandchildren Jesse, Todd, Troy, Kyle, Brian, Ashley and Cora and great grandchildren, Brooke, Haley, Alissa, Gage, Hannah, Emma and Camden. A brother Jack Ellison of Elizabethton, Tn., sisters Bonnie Parrish of Johnson City , Tn., Norma Parrish of Piney Flatts, Tn., and Verna Livesay of Six Mile, S.C. He was predeceased by sisters Betty Hare and Sue Elkins and brothers Carney, Lonnie and Mac Ellison.
 
Jesse was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown where he enjoyed volunteering for Operation Community Care. Jesse was a great father and grandfather devoted to his family, he was so proud of his grandchildren and they were the twinkle in his eyes and Light of his Life. He had a big heart and anyone that knew him called him their friend. He loved gardening, farming and had a green thumb. We will all miss his gentle ways and his stories, but most of all we will miss his heart. We Love You Dad!!
 
Funeral service is Tuesday at 11 AM at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor Garry Sheaffer officiating. There will be a viewing Monday from 6-8 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mount Zion Haughs Lutheran Cemetery, Ladiesburg, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to Operation Community Care, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA 17340.
