I had the pleasure of working many hours with Earl at the gas station. He was the most genuine, up-beat, positive, funny, and hard working guy you could ever meet. Even towards the end of his career with us, after he could no longer drive and had to get a ride to work, he would hop out of the car smiling and ready to put in another day at the pumps. He seemed to know everyone in Gettysburg, and he had a story, joke, or a kind word for everyone that came through. To this day people still come in and ask about him. Earl will be missed dearly by everyone he worked with and waited on at Direct To You.

Uncle Earl was a comfort to us all, always there willing to help. I know when we were in Texas on Saturday night he got the diapers and carried me along to the movies. He worked at the Pontiac Garage in Littlestown and boy do I remember his version of what a Pontiac was.

In my memory I can see him playing 3rd base and working with a rag hanging out his hip pocket at the gas station he and Lehigh had on York Street in Hanover.

He's home now, know there is a brighter star in the heavens tonight.

Love, Jeanie

As a past/present customer of Direct to You, I can tell you that Earl made that place a joy to patronize. He always had a good word (usually a joke or two) and i dont mind saying it took me a long time to pull away from the pumps from talking to him, we knew some of the same people and caught up on our gossip that way, the best that place ever hired! Im sorry for your loss but hes in a much better place now, May God Bless!

Uncle Earl is as genuine a person as could be. Earl and Luella always opened their home to my family and as a small child I spent many days in their care. Memories are many and irreplaceable.

Uncle Earl - you will be missed.
