Biography: Bernard A. Breighner Sr., 84 of Littlestown died late Sunday August 18 at his home. He was the husband of Nancy J Duttera Breighner who died Nov. 15 2000. Born March 16, 1929 in Abbottstown, he was the son of the late Lewis and Margaret Kuhn Breighner. Bernard was a 1948 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. He served in the US Navy and retired from SKF of Hanover as a machinist. He is survived by 4 sons, Bernard Breighner Jr., Michael Breighner and Christopher Breighner all of Littlestown. Lawrence Breighner of Lucketts, Va. and daughters Margaret Sauble and Elizabeth Miller both of Hanover. 17 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren and a  sister, Marion Paszek of Maryland. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter Rita Breighner and many brothers and sisters. Bernard was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Littlestown and the McSherrystown Home Assoc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday Aug 22 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown with The Rev. James M. Sterner Celebrant. There will be no viewing. Inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
