Biography:

Betty Shelton Wallin, 85, of Taneytown, died Fri, July 26, at Shepherd’s Glen.  She was the widow of Carol E. Wallin who died July 2, 2012.  Born March 4, 1928 in TN, she was the daughter of the late Simon P. & Ethel Shelton.  Betty was a high school  graduate.  She was a practical nurse and was retired from Spring Grove State Hospital, Catonsville.
 
Surviving are 4 children:  Emma Connelly & husband, Robert, of Berryville, VA;  Barbara Brown of Littlestown; Carroll Wallin & wife, Virginia, of Linthicum; David Wallin & wife, Sally, of Hanover; 9 grandchildren:  Lori Tamburo, Lisa Degitz, Shawn Brown, Nick Wallin, Paul Wooton, Charlie Wallin, Jeremy Gruss and Michele and Matthew Connelly; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Corby of TN and a brother, Huvel Shelton of TN.  Betty was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Gruss, a son-in-law, Calvin D. Brown and brothers and sisters.  Betty was a member of Littlestown VFW Ladies Aux. She loved spending time with her family.
 
Funeral Service is Wed., July 31, at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Rev. Timothy J. Kielley, New Hope Faith Community Church, Littlestown, officiating.  Viewing is Tues 5 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment is in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.  Memorials in Betty’s name may be sent to Carroll County Hospice,  292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD  21157. We love you and will miss you very much Aunt Betty. Our favorite Aunt, hee hee We will miss our Christmas tree hunting with you and the cookies. Now you are with your brother Joe and I know it will be difficult but make him behave.

We had a lot of fun at the VFW and she enjoyed going on bus trips with Lincoln. What a nice lady she was. Miss her and Carol too.

grandma i miss you and I LOVE YOU. i had so much fun coming to your house and hanging out with you and granddad. i will never forget riding around on the tractor and picking vegtables from the garden, and going out to eat with you. you will forever be missed grandma I LOVE YOU
