Biography:

Naomi R. Bowersox, 99, died Sat., Apr 27, at Hanover Hall.  She was the wife of the late Harvey J. Bowersox who died June 1, 2011 at the age of 100 years.  They were blessed with 75 yrs of marriage.  Born Aug 20, 1913 in Carroll County, Noami was the daughter of the late Ervin L. & Carrie A. (Wine) Kreitzer. 
 
Naomi is survived by two sons, Allen H. Bowersox of Hanover and Donald C. Bowersox & wife, Angela, of Pleasant Valley, MD;  three grandchildren, Jay Bowersox & wife, Helen, of Hanover;  Wendy Bowersox and Susan Bowersox Blizzard, both of Pleasant Valley and five great grandchildren:  Tanner and Linsey Bowersox and Taylor, Kaitlin and Jordan Blizzard.  Naomi was predeceased by three sisters:  Miriam Jones, Hilda Black, Ruth McIlwee and a brother, Clyde E. Kreitzer.  Naomi was an active member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, Silver Run and a member of Penn Twp Lioness Club.  She worked many years at Hanover Manufacturing as a seamstress.
 
Funeral Service is Wed., May 1, at 11 A.M. at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, Silver Run with the Rev. Dr. H. Lee Brumback, II officiating.  Viewing is Tues 6 – 8 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown.  Interment is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Silver Run.  Memorials in Naomi’s name may be made to her church @ 3978 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD  21158.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.

The family has our sympathy. We have known Harvey and Naomi for a long time through St. Marys' EL Church. They both participated and helped in a lot of events until they couldn't anymore. May God be with her and her remaining family.

I have been mowing your parents grass for a few years now.
In that time I had the opportunity to speak with and get to know both of them a bit. They shared a wealth of knowledge and were always hospitable to me. I feel very fortunate to have met them both. My condolences Alan and Don and family.
They will be missed and remembered.
