Biography:
Julia Ada Ridinger, 89, formerly of Harney, died early Tues A.M., Apr 23, at Gettysburg Lutheran Home. She was the widow of C. Herbert Ridinger who died in 1995. Born Jan 12, 1924 in Harney, she was the daughter of the late Harry Franklin & Ada Almurty (Wantz) Angell and the step daughter of Etta Downs Peck Angell. She was a homemaker and a farmer.
Surviving are daughter, Ellen Lucinda Ridinger Rogers of Littlestown; sons, Franklin Herbert Ridinger and Arthur Clarence Ridinger & wife, Teresa, all of Taneytown; 5 grandchildren: Kristina Rodgers, James Rodgers, Jason Ridinger , Kevin Ridinger and Amy (Ridinger) Vargas and a great granddaughter, Hope Ridinger. Julia was predeceased by 3 sisters: Bessie McGraw, Lethia Kump and Mabel Krumrine and 2 brothers: Luther & Robert Angell. Julia was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Harney, a Ladies Aid member of the church and a Harney Fire Co. Aux member.
Funeral Service is Fri., Apr 26, at 3 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with her pastor, The Rev. Matthew A. Day officiating. Viewing is one hour prior to service time. Interment is in Mountain View Cemetery, Harney. Pallbearers will be: Jason & Kevin Ridinger, Amy (Ridinger) Vargas, Jim Rodgers, Albert Angell and Gary Guynn. Honorary Pallbearer is Kristina Rodgers.
