Biography:

Patricia M. (Cain) Moore, 69, of Littlestown, PA, passed away peacefully at her home
surrounded by loved ones on April 4, 2013.

Born February 16, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, she grew up in Wilmington, DE, and was the
daughter of the late Francis L. and Mary M. (Kirby) Cain and granddaughter of the late
Calysta Kirby. She was a 1962 graduate of Brandywine High School.

She lived in Miami, FL, and Baltimore, MD, before making Littlestown her home for the past
thirty-five years. A graduate of beauty school, she worked a number of jobs before having
her three daughters and devoting herself full time to their care. She was an active member
of the PTO who always enjoyed having a house full of children. When she re-entered the
workforce, she found her niche working with children and youth with special needs. Pat
loved her years working at Hoffman Homes for Youth before serving the L.I.U. for over
twenty years as a teaching assistant. In her retirement she remained in the field through
volunteering and work with Bell Socialization Services.  Known for her easy smile and warm
manner, Pat was a kind and generous grandmom and a devoted friend and family member
who loved to dance.

Patricia is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen (Cain) and Steven R. Eachus,
of Wilmington, DE; her daughters and son-in-law, Robin M. (Moore) and Brian P. Oaster, of
Gettysburg, PA, and Susan P. Moore-Patel, of Sydney, Australia; her grandchildren, Kelty,
Autumn, and Winter Oaster, and Kieran and Celine Moore-Patel; and her nephew and niece,
Rick and Shannon Eachus, of Dover, DE, and their children, Calysta, Preston, and
Chloe Eachus.  She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cynthia Lynn Moore.

A memorial service will be held at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown, on Saturday, April 20, at 11 a.m.,
with visitation in the hour preceding from 10 a.m. There will be no viewing.  In lieu of flowers,
the family requests that donations be made to Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, Inc., 260 West High
Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325, or the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

It has been a few years and I can not explain to anybody how much I miss my Grandmom. Her positive attitude and beautiful smile always brought joy into my life. She would surprise my cousins, sisters, and I with the sweetest ,most thoughtful gifts just because she was such a kind person. I am happy to know that she is still in a better place and that she is with wonderful Cyndi. I will (like others) miss her more than words can say. Love you Grandmom

Susan and Robin, it saddens me to learn of this news. Pat was a very special woman--always kind and gentle. The only thing that eases the sorrow a but is knowing that she's with Cyndi again. Godspeed to both of you and yours.

My memory of Pat is one of a loving, outgoing, warm and friendly person. I'm sure she is in God's hands and with the heavenly angels, free of pain and now looking over those who loved her.

I have many fond memories of Pat from the first time I met her in the early 60's. She and Ed were the quintessential Aunt and Uncle we all admired from the very beginning. My thoughts and prayers to everyone.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I worked with Pat many years ago at Hoffman Home. She was such a sweet person with a great smile and so much fun to be around. I know she loved her daughters so much.
Keep her close to you through precious memories.
May God give you peace at this sad time.

Susan, Robin, Kathy, and all other family members.
Our hearts go out to you with love and sadness at this time. I\'m sure Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmom, sister and friend to all.
When we would talk about any of you girls or her grandkids, she would brighten up with a special warmness. She used to share with me many of the special moments of joy and laughter each of you brought to her both as children and adults. I believe all Pat truly wanted and needed in life was for you to know and believe how much she greatly loved each of you and for her to receive your love in return, as well as to share quality time with her.
Pat was a close member of our \"family\" as well. I knew others thought of Pat like family also. However, what I didn\'t realize was how many until I spent the last few weeks before her passing. Pat had that way with people. Everyone seemed to love her right from the beginning. She had that warm smile and soft voice that just drew you in.
I\'m sure all who knew her will feel her void in their heart\'s forever. She is and will continue to be greatly missed.

My Grandmom was a loving, kind, generous person. She was nice to everyone and appreciated them all. She was the best Grandmom ever, remembering all of her grandchildren\'s birthdays, and would send large parcels to our door in Sydney, Australia, just in time for our birthday. She spoiled us so much and spent lots of money on us.

I love my Grandmom and (like everyone else) will miss her dearly. She will be missed very much and I thank her for her generosity and kindness.
