Biography:
Charles “Moss” Morehead, Jr., 90, of Littlestown died Friday April 12 at his home. He was the husband of the late Marion V Morehead who died Nov 15, 2004. Born August 1, 1922 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Charles “Moss” Sr and Mary A Collins Morehead. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. Moss was co owner of Charles Morehead and Sons of Littlestown.
Charles is survived by a son, C. Michael Morehead and wife Kelly of Littlestown, 2 daughters, Bonnie Steich and husband John and Debbie Hanlon and companion Michael Myers all of McSherrystown. Grandchildren, Amber Repman, Jason Steich,
Christopher Morehead, Randi Morehead, Caine Morehead, Renee’ Morehead and Rachael Morehead. 2 great grandchildren, Jordan and Emily Gault. 1 Brother, Paul Morehead of Littlestown and 2 sisters, Alma Straley and Jean Hankey of Littlestown. He was predeceased by 3 bros., Henry F., John W., and Carl M. Morehead and a sister, Mary Phillips. Moss was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Littlestown, Life member of Littlestown VFW, FOE and American Legion. Life member of Westminster Moose, Mcsherrystown Home, Hanover Home, New Oxford Social club and the Hanover AMVETS.
There will be a Memorial Service, Tues April 16, 11 AM. at Little’s Funeral Home with his Pastor, Rev. James S. Dunlop officiating. There will be no viewing. Littlestown Allied Veterans Council will provided Militrary Honors. The family suggests memorial contributions go to Asera Care Hospice, 44 Bowman Rd, York, PA 17408.
