Dear Macey, so sorry to read about the passing of Dorothy. So many many years have passed since I was a child, but I remember how nice Dorothy was and always very kind. Our deepest sympathy goes to you and your family. God Bless You All.

I am the daughter of the late Carl & Emma Standiford. Your Dad was my Dad's Uncle --- hope you do remember us.

Mace, our love and thoughts are with you and your family. You and Dorothy have been an important part of our lives and those of our children since we first met 25 years ago. The advice, support and love you both showed us continues to be with us even though we have long ago moved from the Silver Run area. All those who have had the honor to know you are aware that they have been touched by a very special couple. You both are loved and respected more than you will ever know. We will miss, but not forget Grandma Dorothy. With all our love, Mike, Carole, Nicole and Corey.

Dorothy was a wonderful and loving neighbor and friend to my parents and to me and my brother for all the many years we lived in Silver Run. I am especially grateful for her generosity and kindness to us during my mother's last weeks of life at Lorien in Taneytown, where Dorothy made sure my mother had companionship every day of her stay, in spite of Dorothy's own pain and challenges. Dorothy had a sweetness of spirit that is all too rare, and like many, many others I will miss her very much. I send my heartfelt condolences to Mace, Charlie, Barbara, Ginger, Barry, and the rest of the family, and want them to know that I will be thinking of them, and of Dorothy, in the days and months ahead.
