To my dearest friend Susan & your wonderful & large beautiful family; I got the day off to come out tomorrow, but the weather & the distance have overwhelmed me & the funeral home said it's raining hard out there & roads may get closed due to flooding...I have a new respect for those words, so I will not be charging out to see you as my heart wants me to!I know it will be a sad, but wonderful time of memories as you say good-bye to your beloved Mom! Our prayers are with you all, & once you're home, we will get together & talk & remember some more!! Love, Ann

To Chris, Jim, Susan, Laura and your family--
I am so sorry about your mom but know she ready to go and is in a better place. Aunt Shirley was very special to me. I don't know what memories you all have, but some of my fondest childhood memories are summers spent with your family, and I adored your mom.I was going to make the service if it was Friday but can't make Thursday. I will be there in spirit, and you are all in my prayers.
