Biography:
Rocklyn A. "Rocky" Harman, 72, of Taneytown, died Thursday, Feb 1, 2024 at Bridging Life, Westminster. She was the wife of Samuel A. Harman for 52 years. Born Aug 18, 1951 in Frederick, Rocky was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Betty (Forney) Koontz. She was a 1970 Francis Scott Key graduate. She had been employed with Cambridge Rubber of Taneytown, Carroll County Schools cafeteria and Hillcrest Restaurant, formerly of Littlestown.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her son, David A. Harman & Michelle of Taneytown; her grandson, Tyler Harman; her sister, Dottie Frock & Richard of Littlestown and her brothers, Lloyd Koontz & Yvonne of Hanover and Randy Koontz of Keymar. Rocky enjoyed playing Bingo, attending engine shows, going to casinos and most importantly, spending time with her family.
Funeral is Tuesday, Feb 6, at 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Larry Douthwaite officiating. Viewing is Monday, Feb. 5, from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in Rocklyn's name be sent to Bridging Life - 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157. Am so sorry to see this news. Rocklyn and I were best friends in elementary school in Taneytown, especially in 3rd and 4th grade. My sympathies to her family.
