Biography:
Janice M. Craig, 68, of Littlestown, died Sun., Jan. 6, at her home. She was the widow of Gordon L. Craig, Sr. who died in 1987. Born Feb. 28, 1944 in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lucian E. Ashwood & Thelma M. (Himelright) Ashwood Stump and Stepfather, Arthur N. Stump. She was a high school graduate and was retired from Littonian Shoe after 20+ years of service.
Janice is survived by a daughter, Donna M. Ness & husband, Doug, of Bonneauville; 4 sons: Gordon L. Craig, Jr., James E. Craig, Randy S. Craig and Kevin C. Craig & wife, Laura, all of Littlestown; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a brother, Allen M. Ashwood & wife, Nancy of New Freedom and companion, David Reichert of Hanover. Janice was predeceased by grandson, Michael L. Ness and sister, Deloris A. Anthony. Janice was a member of Gravel Springs Lutheran Church, Star Tannery, VA. She loved spending time with her family, bird watching, reading books and flowers.
Funeral Service is Thurs, Jan. 10, at 10 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with Chaplain John Morrill of AseraCare Hospice officiating. Viewing is Wed 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Pallbearers with be her grandsons: Dylan, Joshua, Brenton & Jason Craig and her 2 nephews: David & Michael Ashwood. Mom going to miss you so much and all the good times we shared.going to miss all the baking and shopping we did. there was a day that went by that we didn't have shopping to do. I will always love and miss you from the bottom of my heart. You were such a great mother,nanie and friend to all and many.Glad I got to spend time with you and take care of you until god took you to a better place. so glad your not in pain anymore.

She was a beautiful person who was always willing to help. She spent a good portion of her life fighting through more than most could bare. She was a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, a very compassionate person. She will be surely missed but is now free of her pain and burdens. I miss you Nan but am a proud person to have known you. I love you from the bottom of my heart.

She was a great woman with a wonderful smile. I will miss her but am so thankful that she isno longer in pain. I love you, Nan.

kevin,laura,and children you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow. may it ease your pain to know that she is pain free and watching down over you all. especially with her wonderful smile that she could light up a room with. yes she will be missed but she will never be forgotten. she has left a lot of memories and legacies for all of you to hold on to.
