Biography:
Elva R. Weaver, 90, formerly of Littlestown; currently residing in West Chester, died early Wed., Jan. 2, at Chester County Hospital, West Chester. She was the widow of P. Bernard Weaver who died Aug 21, 2002. Born Feb 28, 1922 in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Horace & Carrie Wine. She was a 1940 Littlestown High School graduate and was employed with Sylvia Garments, Littlestown and was retired from Berkheimer Electric, Littlestown as a bookkeeper.
Elva is survived by a son, Bernard R. Weaver & wife, Carol, of Downingtown; two grandsons: Eric R. Weaver & wife, Mellany of Ashburn, VA and Scott V. Weaver & wife, Jennifer, of Churchville; a granddaughter, Kaylee D. Villbrandt of Philadelphia and 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. Elva was predeceased by 2 sisters: Mary Good and Ruth Worley. She was a member of Christ U.C.C., Littlestown where she sang on the choir and was a member of the Ladies Guild. Elva was also a member of Littlestown VFW Aux, American Legion Aux, Alpha Fire Co. Aux, General Federation of Women's Clubs and Hanover BPOE Aux.
Funeral Service is Monday, Jan. 7, at 12 noon at her church with The Rev. Craig E. Arentz & the Rev. Frederick H. Diehl officiating. Viewing is Monday 11 A.M. - 12 noon at church. Interment is in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Memorials in Elva's name may be sent to Christ U.C.C., 131 Christ Church Rd., Littlestown, PA 17340.
