Edgar E "Bud" Yealy

Biography:

Edgar E "Bud" Yealy, 89, of Littlestown died Fri Nov 30 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. He was the husband of Bernice V. Bowers Yealy of Littlestown for 65 years. Born Nov. 25, 1923 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late J. Edgar and Florence Wallick Yealy. Bud was a 1941 graduate of Littlestown High School and served in the Army during WWII in Europe. He was the proprietor of the Littlestown 5 and 10 and later worked for Associated Grocers of York for 15 years.
 
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Stephanye D. Smith of Littlestown, 2 grandchildren, Dr. Heath B. Mackley of Annville and Brittany N. Mackley of Littlestown and 4 great grandchildren. 1 Brother, Dean Yealy of Littlestown, 4 sisters, Marguerite Bair and Eloise Sentz of Littlestown, Jean DeGroft of Hanover and Betty Dols of Alexandria VA. Bud was predeased by a sister, Lois Myers.
 
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown and a life member of the Littlestown VFW.
 
Funeral services will be Tues at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown with his pastor The Rev. James S. Dunlop officiating. There will be a viewing Mon at Little's Funeral Home from 6-8 and 1 hour prior the service, 10-11 at the church. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Contributions have been asked to go to St. John's Lutheran Church, 665 St. John's Rd., Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared at

to Stephanye and family. I will always remember your dad (and your mom) as two of the best people- always positive, always welcoming, always kind. I am so sorry for your loss. Janice sent me the notice. Please remember all the wonderful times and the closeness of your family. All of the Finks were lucky to be connected to the Bowers and the Yealys. The phrase "good hearted" applies to them all. I hope your family is doing well. I'm thinking of all of you.
