Biography:
Earl Davis, 86, of Littlestown, died early Wed. A.M., Nov 14, at The Dove House, Westminster. He was the husband of Mildred Hope (Harper) Davis for 66 years. Born June 19, 1926 in Onego, WV, he was the son of the late Elmer & Iva Mae (Harper) Davis. He served in the military police with the army infantry stationed in Korea during WWII. He retired in 1990 from United Defense BMY of York and previously was a foreman for Carroll Shoe, Littlestown and L.E. Baudin, Hanover.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by a son, Randy A. Davis & wife, Yvonne, of Littlestown; a daughter Carolyn H. Vile & husband, Preston, of Hanover; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Roy Davis of Morefield, WV and a sister, Ruth Conrad of Petersburg, WV. Earl was predeceased by sister Mildred Hedrick and brother Lester Davis. Earl was a member of Barts Centenary United Methodist Church and the American Legion, both of Littlestown. In the '50's - early 70's, Earl was a member of two country bands, The Golden Rockets and The Tempos.
Funeral Service is Saturday, Nov 17, at 2 P.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Charles H. Reinaker officiating. The family will receive friends 1 - 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Military honors will be conducted by Littlestown Allied Veterans Council. Memorials in Earl's name may be sent to: Barts Centenary U. M. Church, 56 E. King St., Littlestown, PA 17340.
