Biography:
Marvin E. "Ed" Brown, 81, of Littlestown, died Monday, Oct 18, 2021, at his home.  He was the husband of Barbara Anne (Lee) Brown.  Born Oct 5, 1940 in Littlestown, Ed was the son of the late Wade & Sarah (Clutz) Brown.  He was a Littlestown High School graduate and a diligent Dairy Farmer.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children:  Darlene M. Beachtel & Ralph, Charles E.  Brown and Elizabeth R.  Brown & Nicole; his two grandchildren, Murray E. and Ann M. Beachtel; his two great grandchildren, Olivia C. and Cooper L. Beachtel;  his brothers, Ronald and Timothy Brown and his sister, Sally Baer.  Ed was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Mummert. He was a member of St. Mary's UCC, Silver Run.  Ed loved his family.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Run.  Memorials in Ed's name may be sent to his church @ 1441 E. Mayberry Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.

Darlene & family, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I know you loved him very much Darlene. You were a wonderful and selfless daughter to him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ed was a great guy. He and I bonded while touring the Gettysburg Battlefield. It was his birthday, and I was supposed to take him to the new visitors center, while Barbara, his wife, Ruth, his mother-in-law, and my mom, Deloris Belling, cousin to Ruth, all went antiquing. Once we were there, we both decided we'd much rather tour the actual battlefield then the visitor's center. We had a great time. I kept stopping and getting out and looking at everything. We climbed several of the overlook platforms, which Ed had never gone up in before. We were partially through the park, and we were late for his birthday dinner, and I told Ed, we needed to head back, and he told me, "they'll hold dinner, let's keep going." We were a little over an hour late for his birthday dinner, which they did hold until we got there. I had always hoped to visit again, and go back and finish touring the battlefield with Ed. Unfortunately, that never happened. Ed was a really nice guy. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.

Barb and family: i remember meeting Ed when we brought our group from Change over to the farm for a barbeque. What a nice gentleman he was and the loving care that you and your family gave him was so heartwarming. Sending love and condolences.

Our prayers & condolences to the Brown family.. We were classmates in Littlestown. Browns, good guys and good dairy farmers for years.

Mrs. Brown and Family. My condolences to all of you on the loss of Marvin. He and I were classmates at LHS and were from the class of '59. I remember Marvin and Roald both. Thoughts and Prayers are with you.
