Biography: Maurice M. Pickett, Sr., 81, of Hanover, died Sunday, Oct 17, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Coe) Pickett for 59 years. Born April 8, 1940 in Watersville, MD, Maurice was the son of the late Lee & Frances (Evans) Pickett. He had been the manager of Thunderhead Bowling of Taneytown.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Joseph Pickett, Sr. of Taneytown, Juanita Pickett of Hanover, Michelle Durange of Littlestown; his 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; his sister, Faye Staub of Westminster and his brother, Joseph Pickett of South Carolina. Maurice was predeceased by his son, Maurice Pickett, Jr., his grandson, Logan Pickett and his sister, Zada Scott. Maurice enjoyed bowling and fishing.
