Yesterday's beautiful funeral mass was a fitting tribute to Joe, who so very much exemplified love of God, family, and country. I met Joe in his later years as a member of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and it has been a true honor to call him my brother. May he rest in eternal peace and joy after a life very well lived. Farewell my brother.
